Cavaliers Win Fifth Straight, 2-0

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers women's soccer team continued to roll along as the squad won their fifth straight contest on Thursday (Oct. 10) night.

Walsh held the Alderson Broaddus Battlers off the scoreboard with a 2-0 win at Milazzo Field. 

Olivia Peters converted a penalty kick in the 30th minute as she went bottom right corner, giving the Cavaliers a 1-0 lead.

In the 58th minute, Maddie Malinowski made it 2-0 on a goal, assisted by Peters.

Walsh's offensive pressure was continued throughout the game as the Cavaliers took 32 shots in the contest. 

Mickey McClanahan did not make a save as she only faced one shot in the contest. Her and the Walsh defense have not allowed a goal in the last 293 minutes, dating back to September 26th. 

Walsh will head on the road to face Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday (Oct. 17) at 8:00 PM.
