Volleyball Defeated by #11 Hillsdale, 3-0

HILLSDALE, Michigan - In a battle for first place in the G-MAC, the Walsh Cavaliers volleyball team had the 11th-ranked Hillsdale Chargers as the opposition tonight on the road. 

Hillsdale defeated the Cavaliers 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-15) on Friday (Nov. 8) night at Potter Arena. 

Walsh led early in sets one and two but Hillsdale rebounded and went on to win three straight sets. 

Alexis Gilland led the Cavaliers with ten kills as Amber King chipped in six kills on offense. Olivia Kearns assisted on 23 points for the Cavaliers from the setter spot and dug out six attacks. Samantha Wentz helped the back line with ten digs while Natalie Brutscher and Sydnee Marks each had eight digs. 

Walsh is now 16-7 overall and 8-1 in the conference prior to a G-MAC matchup with the Findlay Oilers on Saturday (Nov. 9) afternoon at 1:00 PM.
