Women's Tennis Sweeps Daemen, 7-0

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers women's tennis team shook off a 13 day break with a 7-0 win over the Daemen Wildcats on Saturday (Feb. 16) afternoon at the North Canton Racquet Club. 

Walsh won all six singles matches against the Wildcats. Mercedes Fernandez picked up a first singles victory over Christina Stasiuk, 6-2, 7-5. Maria Kacalova defeated Jessica Robins, 6-2, 6-4 in the second singles slot. Nicole Beidacki was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at third singles against Sarah Kenny. Clara Drasch, Sofia Khairutdinova and Parvanee Karimpour all were victorious 6-0, 6-0 in their singles matches. 

Beidacki and Fernandez won the first doubles match over Stasiuk and Robins, 6-1. The teams of Razum/Kacalova and Drasch/Karimpour were 6-0 winners in second and third doubles. 

The Cavaliers will return to the court on Sunday (Feb. 17) at Saginaw Valley State with a 6:45 PM start time.
