GRANDVILLE, Mich. - The Walsh women's tennis team fell 6-1 to the Grand Valley State Lakers, who are ranked third in the Midwest Region, on Sunday (Feb. 24) evening.
The Cavaliers are now 5-5 on the season, prior to the Spring Break trip.
Grand Valley State started the match with a point with winning all three doubles matches.
Clara Drasch picked up a straight set victory over Marija Leko in third singles action, defeating her 7-6 (4-0), 7-5. The Lakers won the other five singles matches.
The women's tennis team will travel South for Spring Break, starting with a match at Eckerd on Tuesday, March 3rd.
