Volleyball splits double-header in Pennsylvania

ERIE, Pennsylvannia - The Walsh University volleyball team played their second day at the Gannon/Edinboro tournament today (September 21). The Cavaliers swept Saint Rose in the first match of the day 3-0, but were defeated by Edinboro 3-1 in the second match. 

Game One:

The Cavs defeated Saint Rose 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-14) in the first match. Lauren Loucks led the Cavaliers' offense with 14 kills, while Hallie Schroeder and Amber King followed with nine and seven kills, respectively. King also contributed five blocks on the day. Olivia Kearns led in assists with 34. 

Game Two:

Despite a hard-fought battle, Walsh was defeated 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 22-25, 16-25) by Edinboro. Schroeder, Loucks, and Justine Coffman all contributed to the Cavaliers' offense with 13, 12, and 11 attacks, respectively. Kearns once again led in assists with 43 as the Walsh setter. 

Walsh will play their first home game of the season on Friday (September 27) against Ohio Dominican.
