CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers football team opened the Great Midwest Athletic Conference schedule on Saturday (Sept. 21) afternoon with a matchup with the Tiffin University Dragons at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. 

Walsh fell 52-0 to the Dragons in the conference opener for both teams. 

Tiffin scored 21 points in the opening quarter and 17 in the second, leading 35-0 at the half. The Dragons added 14 points in the third quarter for a 52-0 lead.

Tadas Tatarunas made his first collegiate start and compiled 72 yards on nine completions. Lee Hurst caught three passes for a total of 30 yards. 

Matt Amison led the Cavaliers with seven tackles on defense. Sal Sidebotham and Stephen Baugh each made six tackles for the Cavs. Morgan Trust had 1.5 sacks, while Amison made one sack and Phillip Keller accounted for half of a sack. 

Walsh will travel to Hillsdale to face the Chargers on Saturday (Sept. 28).
