Box Score (NORTH CANTON, OH)- The Walsh University Women's Basketball team defeated the Oilers of Findlay for their twelfth straight win in a row. The Cavaliers put on a dominating second half performance to defeat the Oilers 100-58.
Going head to head with the Oilers in the first half, the Cavalier squad outscored Findlay 26 to 12 in the 3rd quarter and 33 to 13 in the fourth. Mayci Sales put on a show for all in attendance at Alumni Arena. With 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks, Sales would help catipult her Cavaliers in the second half to secure the win. Quionche Carter and Tyler Newkirk would each add 20 points for the Cavs. Carter would add 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals while Newkirk contributed 5 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals.
Kimmie Borck went 3 for 6 behind the arc to add 11 for the Cavaliers. Shooting 57 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep, the Cavaliers combined team effort puts them at 10-0 in the conference overall.
The Maroon and Gold take to the court again Thursday at Hillsdale.
