Box Score (CEDARVILLE, Ohio)- The Walsh University Men's Basketball team fell to the Yellow Jackets of Cedarville 74-64, to give them an overall season record of 20-6 and 11-5 in the conference. The Cavs offense would come out of the gate strong but it was Cedarville's overall efforts that would diminish the Cavs.
The Cavaliers would have three players in double figures in their attempt to defeat the Yellowjackets. Darryl Straughter would lead the way for the Maroon and Gold with 23 total points. Straughter would end the day 5 of 9 from the 3 point line and added 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
JT Shumate racked up 16 points, 2 boards and 2 blocks. Caleb Canter tallied 10 points and would lead the Cavaliers with 6 rebounds.
The Cavaliers take on Malone at 7:30 pm on Wednesday in Alumni Arena as they battle for the Mayors Cup.
