Box Score NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh women's basketball team hosted the Fighting Scots of Ohio Valley earlier this afterrnoon (Feb. 8) in Alumni Arena. The 85-58 win lifts the Cavaliers to 21-2 overall and 14-0 in the G-MAC.
A balanced scoring attack led the Cavaliers as ten players scored led by Mayci Sales, Quionche Carter, and Kimmie Borck, who all reached double figures. Sales led with 22 points and 5 rebounds, while Quionche Carter was just shy of a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Carter also contributed four steals and two assists. Kimmie Borck was the other Cavalier to reach double figures with 12 points, six of which came from beyond the arc.
Walsh forced the Fighting Scots to 26 turnovers which led to 28 points. The Cavaliers outshot Ohio Valley from the field, as they shot 51.6 percent from the floor compared to the Fighting Scots 40.4 percent.
The Cavaliers will host Ursuline on Saturday (Feb. 15) for senior day, tipping-off at 1 pm.
