TIFFIN, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers men's soccer team used a late penalty kick to tie the game and beat the overtime buzzer in a 2-1 win on the road at Tiffin on Thursday (Oct. 21) afternoon. With the 2-1 win, Walsh now sits in second place with a 7-2-2 conference record and 23 points.

• Records: Walsh 10-2-3 (7-2-2), Findlay 5-6-3 (4-4-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Tiffin started the scoring with a goal in the 22nd minute by Joel Daly.  
• Patrick O'Halloran tied the game in the 88th minute with a penalty kick, forcing the game into overtime. 
• Dominic O'Connor nailed the game-winning kick with just eight seconds on the clock in the first overtime. 

FOR THE CAVALIERS:

• Walsh finished with nine shots with five on goal in the contest.
• Seven different players took shots with Daniel Price and Gabriel Altawil each taking two shots.
• O'Connor and O'Halloran tallied goals for the Cavaliers. 
• Ethan Burawa faced 25 shots with six shots on target and five saves. 

FOR THE DRAGONS:

• Tiffin totaled 25 shots overall and had six on goal throughout the afternoon.
• George McCarthy led Tiffin with eight shots (two on goal). 
• Daly scored the goal with an assist from Caleb Gibbons.

UP NEXT:

• The Cavs will return home on Saturday (Oct. 23) for a 50th anniversary celebration against Malone, beginning at 7:30 PM.
