Late Goal Lifts Yellow Jackets, 1-0

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - A late goal by the Cedarville Yellow Jackets was the difference maker in a 1-0 loss by the Walsh Cavaliers women's soccer team on Thursday (Oct. 28) night at Larry Staudt Field. A goal by Aleah Martone in the 73rd minute was the only scoring of the evening.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:

  • Walsh had eight shots for the afternoon, including a 3-1 shot advantage in the first half. Four of the eight shots were on goal as the Cavaliers outshot Cedarville 8-7.
  • Miriam Szijarto had a team-high three shots.
  • Romina Parraguez made three saves with one goal allowed in the pipes.

  • Martone tallied the game-winner as a substitute.
  • Cedarville took seven shots with four on target.
