CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers football team continued the conference schedule with a matchup against the Findlay Oilers on Saturday (Oct. 30) afternoon at Bob Commings Field. The Cavaliers were defeated 49-0, as they fell to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Findlay put up 21 points in the first half as Walsh trailed 21-0 at the half. Walsh held Findlay to seven points in the first and 14 in the second period. 
• The third quarter saw seven points scored by Findlay as it was 28-0 after the first 45 minutes. 
• The Oilers used a 21-point fourth quarter to win 49-0. 

CAVALIER TOTALS

• Walsh totaled nine first downs with 114 yards of total offense. The passing attack totaled 58 yards while the rushing game accounted for 56 yards. 
• Hodge completed nine of 21 passes with 51 yards passing and two interceptions. He was also the leading rusher with 27 yards on eight carries. 
• Thomas Wilks totaled 23 yards rushing on four carries. 
• Jerron Hodges caught three passes for a team-high 31 yards.    
• Rocco Iacino led the Cavaliers with 11 tackles while Sal Sidebotham added ten tackles.  
• Eli Rogers had the one Cavaliers' sack for the contest.

• Walsh will conclude the home slate on Saturday (Nov. 6) as they host the Tiffin Dragons at Bob Commings Field. Saturday's kickoff will be at 12:00 PM.
