Box Score NORTH CANTON, Ohio - With the 2021 Great Midwest Volleyball Championship Tournament looming, the Walsh Cavaliers volleyball clinched a home match in the tournament with a 3-0 win over the Malone Pioneers on Saturday (Nov. 13) afternoon.

KEY NOTES
- After two ties in the first ten points, Malone regained a lead and pushed it to eight points three different times. With a 19-11 lead, Malone looked to be in control. Walsh ended the set on a 15-5 run as they rallied for a 26-24 win in the first set.
- The second set saw the teams tie 11 times with six lead changes. Malone led by three points five times in the first 17 points. A 4-0 Walsh run put the Cavaliers in front 11-10. The teams exchanged points for nine ties before the match was tied 20-20. Walsh scored the final five points for a 25-20 set two win.
- Malone led 4-1 with a couple of key points early in the third set. Walsh erased the lead with a 10-3 run. After Walsh regained the lead, the Cavaliers pulled away for a 25-18 win.
FOR THE CAVALIERS
- Walsh hit .242 for the match, including .273 in the first set.
- Olivia Maczuzak led the team with ten kills.
- Anna West had nine kills and two blocks in the match.
- Grace Lindquist added eight kills, a .438 hitting percentage and three blocks.
- Olivia Kearns had 26 assists and eight digs.
- Arora Levengood gave Walsh two service aces and nine digs.
- Sydnee Marks was tied for the team lead with nine digs.
Walsh will host Trevecca Nazarene for the 2021 Great Midwest Quarterfinal on Tuesday (Nov. 16) at 7:00 PM.
