Box Score CANTON, OHIO- The Walsh University Men's Basketball team traveled a few minutes South of campus to battle neighboring Malone University in their first match up of the year. After a Lebron James inspired celebration by the Malone student section at the start of the game, both teams headed back to their locker rooms for a 40 minute delay of game while the court was cleaned up. After returning to the court, the Cavs struggled to find their rhythm. They would fall short on the G-MAC battle 53-69.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:
- Tim Smith Jr. paced the Cavaliers with a double-double on the day.
- Smith scored 10 points, added 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
- Coming off the bench, Luke Howes tallied 8 points for the Cavs.
- Howes also contributed 4 assists and 3 steals against the Pioneers
- Milan Square, Caleb Canter and Zakai Alexander each threw up 7 points on the board.
- Square added 4 rebounds, Canter accounted for 7 boards and 2 assists and Alexander was able to pull down 6 rebounds.
FOR THE PIONEERS:
- Bryce Butler guided the Pioneers with 15 points. He also added 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
- Bo Myers and Levi Seiler each had 12 points for Malone.
The Cavaliers host the Barons from Franciscan Thursday December 16th at noon in Alumni Arena.
