PAINESVILLE, OHIO- The Walsh University Women's basketball team improved to 5-1 on the season after their first conference match up of the year. The Cavaliers defeated the Storm of Lake Erie 70-51.

FOR THE CAVALIERS: 

• Sha Carter posted a double-double for the Cavaliers after she connected on 7 of 13 from the field, recording a game high 19 points and 12 rebounds.
• Carter's strong defensive front would help her rack up 4 steals on the day.
• Morgan McMillen was 4-6 from three-point range as she chipped in 16 points for the Cavs.
• Mayci Sales and Alyssa Dean each tallied 8 points on the board. 
• Dean would also add 6 assists and 5 rebounds for the Maroon and Gold.

FOR THE STORM:

• Lainey Billing and Sydney Wyngarden would each post 11 points for the Storm. 
• Abby Matalavage added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists on the day.  

The Maroon and Gold look to host Kentucky Wesleyan(12.9) and Trevecca(12.11) at home in Alumni Arena for more conference action.
