Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers women's basketball team improved to 12-4 overall with an 89-72 win over the Lake Erie Storm on Tuesday (Feb. 16) night at the Osborne Center.

The short story: The Cavaliers led wire-to-wire against the Storm as they used an early 7-2 run to take control of the game. Lake Erie pulled within two twice but Walsh's hot shooting was too much for the Storm to overcome.
OPENING TIP
- Mayci Sales led the Cavaliers with 21 points on seven-of-16 shooting overall. She hit all six free throws and grabbed nine rebounds to go with four assists and two blocks.
- Abby Hickey knocked down four three pointers off the bench for a 14 point effort.
- Kimmie Borck was the third member of the team in double-figures as she scored 13 points on five field goals (two threes).
- Majestic Sales tied a career-high with nine rebounds in the contest, tying her sister for the game-high.
- Lexie Scarton neared another ten-assist night with nine dimes in the game with eight points as well.
- Morgan Darnell scored a career-high eight points with two treys.
THE DIFFERENCE
- Walsh hit 13 three pointers in the game out of 20 attempts, including nine-of-12 in the first half.
- On top of the three-point advantage, Walsh outrebounded the Storm 46-26 with 14 offensive boards.
BEHIND THE NUMBERS
- For the fourth straight game, Walsh tallied 21 assists as a team. Behind Scarton's nine assists, Sales and Borck each had four assists with Sha Carter adding three of her own.
- Nine of the 11 players that entered scored in the game.
- Walsh was 50% (33-66) from the floor and 65% (13-20) from deep. The Cavaliers were ten-of-12 from the free throw line.
NOTABLE
- Mayci Sales jumped into fifth place all-time with 609 made field goals.
- Kimmie Borck moved past Alex Hochstedler for eighth place in three pointers made with 137.
- With the win, Walsh remains in fourth place with a 3.84 point rating within the G-MAC.
