CEDARVILLE, OHIO- The Walsh University Women's Basketball team came out on top over the Yellow Jackets from Cedarville with a last second layup from Sha Carter. The Cavaliers won 81-79 in the action packed game in Callan Athletic Center.

SHORT STORY: In a back and forth game with 20 lead changes, the Cavaliers were able to come out with another check in the win column.  An impressive pass from Sales to Carter on the block for a last minute layup would help seal the deal for the Cavaliers with under a second left on the clock. Quionche Carter would lead the Cavs with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while also connecting on 5 assists to her team. Six of Carters points were made from points scored behind the arc. Mayci Sales would be one bucket behind Carter while throwing up 20 points and 9 boards for the maroon and gold. She also added 5 assists on the night. Lexie Scarton racked up 17 points, 6 of which were made from the three point line. 

Ashlyn Huffman and Isabelle Bolender would each tally 20 points for the Yellow Jackets. 

The Maroon and Gold return to the court this Saturday as they take on the Dragons from Tiffin University at 1:00 PM in Gillmor Student Center in Tiffin, Ohio.
