Walsh records first win of the 2021 season

NORTH CANTON-OH: The reigning G-MAC champs continued their success Saturday (March 13th) with a win over Cedarville University.  The Cavaliers won by a score of 1-0. 

Both Walsh and Cedarville remained scorless for the majority of the match.  Junior Kayla Rance, with assist coming from Hannah Stein, scored the only goal of the game.  Rance was able to put the the Cavaliers up 1-0 with seven minutes remaining. 

Walsh outshot Cedarville 9-8, with Kayla Rance, Hannah Bowman, and Hannah Stein recording two shots a piece. 

Goalie Maura Hickey totaled four saves on four-shots-on-goal. 

Cedarville goalie Brooke Ackley made six saves on the day. 

The Cavaliers will look for their second win of the season as they face cross-town rival Malone University Saturday March 20th at 6:00 p.m.
