Box Score NORTH CANTON, Ohio - For the first time in 483 days, the Walsh Cavaliers football team took the field Saturday (March 13th) afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to the Tiffin Dragons by a score of 21-14.

Walsh came out strong as they scored on the opening drive with a two-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jeremy Hodge to Tyre Gray. The Cavaliers drove for a total of 58 yards on 13 plays to make the score 7-0 with 8:38 left in the first quarter. Tiffin answered by driving the ball 51 yards and scoring on a one-yard run by quarterback Nick Watson four minutes later. A 66-yard touchdown pass from Watson to Devin Butler would put the Dragons up 14-7 at the half. Tiffin came out hot in the third quarter as they scored again on a 29-yard pass from Watson to James Dean. Down 21-7, the Cavaliers rallied in the fourth quarter with a 92-yard drive led by the backfield-duo of Antwand Wilson Jr. and Kobby Adu-Poku. Wilson rushed for 24 yards on the drive with Adu-Poku leading with 37 yards. Wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson would capitalize on the drive with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Jeremy Hodge. A Mason Brown PAT would put the Cavaliers within one touchdown of the Dragons. Tiffin won with a final score of 21-7.
For the Cavaliers
In his first game as a Cavalier, quarterback Jeremy Hodge threw for 129 yards on 15 completions and two touchdowns. Running back Koby Adu-Poku rushed for 89 yards while also recording 60 receiving yards. Tyree Broyles recorded the first interception of his career late in the fourth quarter. Senior Sal Sidebotham led both teams in solo-tackles at eight, while assisting in two. Myles Williams led all tacklers with 11.
For the Dragons
Quarterback Nick Watson threw for 302 yards, including two touchdowns. Marcus Davis rushed for 89 yards on 20 attempts. Butler also led in receiving yards at 161 on seven catches.
