CANTON, OH- The Cavaliers win their second game of the season against rival Malone University.  Walsh won by a score of 2-1 in double overtime.

The Pioneers came out hot in Saturday's contest as Amanda Kinsey scored the only goal of the first half six minutes into the game.  Both teams would struggle to find the back of the net for the remainder of the first half.  

Walsh's Sydney Rice tied the game at the 72-minute mark with an early second-half goal assisted by teammate Madalyn Canter.  A strong defensive effort by both teams would send the game into the first overtime. 

The Pioneers outshot the Cavaliers 3-1 during the first overtime, but neither team was able to capitalize offensively, sending the game into double overtime. 

Freshman Hannah Stein scored the golden goal for the Cavaliers at the 107:28 minute mark, assisted by senior Hannah Bowman. 

Goalkeeper Maura Hickey recorded seven saves for the day, allowing only one goal.
