NORTH CANTON, Ohio- The Walsh University Men's Soccer team battled the #25 ranked Storm from Lake Erie College Thursday night (March 25) at Larry Staudt Field. The Cavaliers fell to the Storm 2-1 and the loss would put them at 1-2-1 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED: A high intensity match up would have both teams battling back and forth to get points on the board. The Storm would prevail after 2 periods over the Cavaliers.

A quick goal from the Storm's Ayden Von Essen at the start of the game would put the pressure on the Cavaliers to answer. An unbelievlable goal to the back of the net from Freshman Harry Gardner, assisted by teammate Adam Wood, at the 31 minute mark in the first half would tie the game up for the Cavaliers. From that point on, it would be a back and forth battle between the Cavaliers and the Storm to connect on another goal. Both teams would end up unsuccessful in the first half. 

The Storm would come out ready to go at the start of the second period as Arthur Lucas would fire and connect on a shot putting them up 2-1. The Cavaliers looked to capitalize on a number of opportunities down by the net but fell short. The Storm would walk away with the win in this conference match up.

The Cavaliers travel to Ohio Valley on Saturday(March 27) to battle the Fighting Scots at 4:00 PM.
