Panthers defeat Cavaliers 3-2

NORTH CANTON, OH- Walsh lost their third straight game Thursday (April 8th) night against Kentucky Wesleyan College. The Cavaliers lost by a score of 3-2.

Record: Walsh 2-4-1 (1-4), Kentucky Wesleyan 3-1-2

 The Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers defeated the Walsh Cavaliers Thursday evening after the Cavalier's struggled to find the back of the net for the majority of the game. 

Neither team scored the first half of the game, making the score 0-0 heading into halftime. 

The Panthers struck first at the 64 minute mark with a goal by Julian Gonzales to put Kentucky Wesleyan up 1-0. Momentum remained on the Panthers side with another goal three minutes later by Preston Wright, assisted by Gonzales. 

Senior Alex Jackson ignited the Cavalier offense with a goal at the 73 minute mark to put Walsh within one of the Panthers. 

The Panthers anwered again with their third goal of the night 76 minutes into the game. 

Patrick O'Halloran scored his fourth goal of the season late in the second half to make the score 3-2, with Kentucky Wesleyan remaining in the lead. 

The Cavaliers had multiple scoring opportunities as they recorded five shots in the final six minutes of the game, but failed to capitalize.
