Walsh defeated by Kentucky Wesleyan in overtime

NORTH CANTON, OH- In their fourth overtime of the season, the Cavaliers were defeated by the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers by a score of 2-1. 

Score: Walsh 1, Kentucky Wesleyan 2

Location: North Canton, Ohio (Larry Staudt Field)

Records: Walsh 4-3, Kentucky Wesleyan 2-3-1

Walsh started out hot as Kayla Rance scored the first goal of the game at the 6:14 minute mark, assisted by Faith Estes.

Kentucky Wesleyan answered with a goal by Chloe Hinchcliffe to make the score tied 1-1 heading into halftime. 

Both Walsh and KWC struggled offensively for the remainder of the game. The Cavaliers outshot the Panthers 4-3, but were unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

Goalie Shelby Elder held her ground as she totaled three saves on five shots on goal. 

Six minutes into overtime, the Panthers scored the game winning goal to make the final score 2-1.
