NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers women's soccer team kicked off the Great Midwest Athletic Conference schedule with a thrilling contest at home against the Ohio Dominican Panthers. Saturday's (Sept. 18) contest saw a game between the Cavaliers and Panthers that went down to the last second in a double overtime draw. 

• Score: Walsh 1, Ohio Dominican 1 - 2 OT
• Records: Walsh 0-3-2 (0-0-1), Ohio Dominican 0-4-1 (0-1-1)
• Location: Larry Staudt Field (North Canton, Ohio)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Ohio Dominican opened the scoring when Samantha Buck scored in the fourth minute, a lead that the Panthers would hold until the second half.
• The Panthers led the shot battle 5-3 in the first period and won the on target tally 3-1. 
• Maddie Malinowski knotted the game at one less than a minute into the second half with her first goal of the season. 
• Both teams took four shots in the second 45 as Ohio Dominican had a 3-2 shot on goal lead. 
• The shot totals were 2-1 in favor of Walsh through the two overtime periods with only one Walsh shot being on goal in the final 20 minutes.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:

• Walsh finished with 11 shots with five on target in the game.
• Taylor Tomlinson and Meghan Creech both had three shots for Walsh.
• Malinowski had the game's only goal for the Cavaliers as a part of her two shots. 
• Romina Parraguez made six saves out of seven shots on goal. 

FOR THE PANTHERS:

• Ohio Dominican also took 11 shots and had seven on goal throughout the evening.
• Buck took three shots (all on goal) with one goal.
• Emily Wittekind had two shots on goal for Ohio Dominican.
• Jadelyn McNerney made four saves in goal with one goal allowed.
