Cavs fall to Timberwolves in season opener

North Canton, OH- The Walsh Cavaliers women's soccer team struggled to find the back of the net in their home opener against Northwood University. The Cavs lost by a score of 3-1.

For the Cavs: 

  • #20 Hannah Stein scored the only Cavalier goal on a penalty kick 11 minutes into competition.
  • In her debut as a Cavalier, goalie Romina Parraguez totaled four saves on the day.

For the Timberwolves: 

  • Northwood started off hot as Juliana Paoletti scored the first goal at the seven minute mark.
  • The Timberwolves went on to score two additional goals in the second half for their first win of the season.
  • Goalie Jane Stinson recorded eight saves.
