NASHVILLE, Tennessee - The Walsh University men's basketball team fell victim to a late Trevecca Nazarene Trojan run at the Trojan Fieldhouse on Thursday (Jan. 27) night. After Trevecca Nazarene opened a 60-48 lead with 5:33 left, Walsh answered with a 16-4 run over the next 3:16. Milan Square and Garrison Keeslar hit back-to-back threes as Walsh tied the game at 64 all. Trevecca ended the game on a 7-0 run to take the matchup. 

The game featured seven ties and seven lead changes between the two teams.

FOR THE CAVALIERS

• Garrison Keeslar added a double-double for the Cavaliers with 19 points and 13 rebounds with six assists. He shot eight-of-14 from the field and made three shots from beyond the arc. 
• Tim Smith Jr. scored 12 points with four field goals, one three pointer and a trio of free throws. 
• Owen Hazelbaker tallied 12 points off the bench with two threes and a pair of free throws. He also grabbed five rebounds. 
• Walsh shot 42.9% (24-56) for the game, including 50% (14-28) from the floor in the first half. 
• The Cavaliers made nine three pointers overall between five players. Keeslar led with three treys while Square and Hazelbaker made two each. Smith Jr. and Darryl Straughter made one three pointer apiece.

FOR THE TROJANS

• CJ Penha scored a 20 point, 18 rebound double-double scoring with six field goals and seven free throws.
• Josh Price had 13 points and Chris Rogers added ten points.  
• Trevecca was outshot by Walsh as they finished with a 41.8% (23-55) shooting percentage and was 35.7% (10-28) from three. 

Walsh will continue on the road trip for a Great Midwest matchup with Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday (Jan. 29) at 3:00 PM Eastern.
