Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL GOES 2-1 AT ANNUAL REGION CROSSOVER

HAMMOND, IN- On October 14-15th, the Walsh Volleyball team competed at the Annual Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover. This event consisted of teams from the GMAC, GLIAC, and GLVC. The Cavs played three matches in the two days. They played Saginaw Valley, University of Illinois Springfield, and McKendree. The team would go on to win two and lose one to the University of Illinois Springfield. The Ashland Eagles, who are leading the conference, fell in the crossover championship to Quincy, who is 19-1. The GMAC finished 13-26 in the event.

RECORDS: Walsh 10-9, Saginaw 9-11, Illinois Springfield 10-9, McKendree 9-12

FOR THE CAVS FOR SAGINAW VALLEY 
  • Patricia Pratt had five blocks and four aces. 
  • Peyton Gerstacker led the Cardinals with 30 assists. She also added ten digs. 
GAME 2 
FOR THE CAVS  FOR ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD
  • Eirini Glynou had 16 kills. 
  • Angela Denney had five aces. Ericka Snopko added three. 
  • Regan Trueblood led the match in assists with 46. 
GAME 3
FOR THE CAVS  FOR MCKENDREE
  • Amber Williams had 32 assists and six digs.
  • Brianna Binder had 12 kills and 10 digs. 
  • Colleen Preusser helped the McKendree offense with four aces. 
The Maroon and Gold face Malone for a rematch vs the cross town rival on Tuesday, October 18th at 6pm.
