MAROON AND GOLD CRUISE TO WIN OVER CARNEGIE MELLON

NORTH CANTON, OH - Taking care of the ball and rebounding is a good recipe for success. The Cavaliers did that to beat Carnegie Mellon by 15 in Alumni Arena. The game was really decided in the first half, thanks to tight defense, as the Cavs held the Tartans to only 22 first-half points. Both teams shot the ball better in the second half as each team went on to score 40 points. Carnegie Mellon's 57% from the field in the second half helped them stay just within reach of potentially mounting a comeback. It wasn't meant to be for the Tartans as Walsh had three players with at least 15 points.
