Box Score NORTH CANTON, OH- Walsh opened up NCAA tournament play with a victory over #8 seed Davenport University Friday (March 11th). Six Cavaliers scored in double-figures in the win.

FOR WALSH:
- Player of the Week Tim Smith Jr. led the balanced attack with 16 points, shooting four-of-seven from the floor
- Darryl Straughter followed with 15 points, including four treys
- Graduate Forward Caleb Canter was six-of-ten on the day as he added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Cavs
- Luke Howes added valuable minutes off the bench as he scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds
- Milan Square and Garrison Keeslar each finished with 10 points a piece
- Keeslar recorded a double-double as he grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds
- The Cavaliers outrebounded the Panthers 44-32
FOR DAVENPORT:
- Jairus Stevens scored a game-high 21 points as he shot nine-of-eleven from the floor
- Marcedus Leech Jr. added 12 points for the Panthers
- Luke Maranka and Stevens each grabbed a team-high six rebounds
