Box Score ASHLAND, OH- The Walsh University Cavaliers won the first round of the NCAA Tournament as they defeated #5 seed Southern Indiana Friday (March11th) night. Four Cavs scored in double figures in the 75-63 victory.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:
- Sha Carter posted another double-double with 18 points and game-high 11 rebounds. Carter shot seven-of-eleven from the field and also proved dominant on defense as she recorded five steals on the day
- Morgan McMillen poured in 16 points and dished out a team-high three assists.
- Forward Mayci Sales was seven-of-ten from the field for 14 total points
- Lexie Scarton added 10 points and grabbed six rebounds
- The Cavalier defense forced the Screaming Eagles to 16 turnovers
FOR THE SCREAMING EAGLES:
- Ashlynn Brown led in scoring at 19 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds
- Emma DeHart added 15 points, including three treys
- Hannah Haithcock added valuable minutes off the bench as she scored 11 points, shooting five-of-nine from the floor
