Second quarter run lifts Walsh over Kentucky Wesleyan in G-MAC Semi-Final

ASHLAND, OH- The Walsh Cavaliers are heading back to the G-MAC title game after defeating the Panthers from Kentucky Wesleyan. An 18-0 run in the second quarter led Walsh to an 81-50 victory. 

FOR THE CAVALIERS:

  • Morgan McMillen was seven-of-eleven from behind the arc for a game-high 27 points
  • Sha Carter poured in 18 for the Cavs as she shot a perfect seven-of-seven from the floor
  • Mayci Sales grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and added 10 points
  • Alyssa Dean and Sha Carter each had three assists a piece
  • Walsh forced Kentucky Wesleyan to 19 turnovers and won the rebounding war 27-22

FOR THE PANTHERS:

  • Cali Nolot led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points as she shot six-of-fourteen from the floor
  • Jordyn Barga recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12rebounds
  • Rachel Richardson rounded out KWC's scoring with seven points

UP NEXT:

The Cavaliers will face the Ashland Eagles in the Conference Championship Saturday, March 5th at 3 p.m.
