NORTH CANTON, Ohio - With a win over the Hillsdale Chargers, the #65th ranked Walsh Cavaliers women's tennis team would clinch a share of the 2022 Great Midwest regular season title.
Walsh did exactly that with a 4-1 win over Hillsdale on Saturday (April 16) at North Canton Racquet Club.
Carla Padberg and Isabella Sanchez won at third doubles as the doubles point was tied 1-1 with the second doubles slot up for grabs. Shantala Uzcategui and Nicole Beidacki overcame four match points to win 7-6 (7-5) and give Walsh a 1-0 lead.
Uzcategui and Alexa Gamborino were three-set winners in second and third singles, respectively before Beidacko clinched the match at fourth singles.

Walsh will face Tiffin in the 2022 Great Midwest Tennis Championships on Friday (April 22), beginning at 5:00 PM Eastern in Owensboro, Kentucky.
