NORTH CANTON, OH- The Walsh University Men's Soccer team kicked off the 2022 season in the win column as they defeated Slippery Rock 4-1 in front of a packed house at Larry Staudt field.  This non-conference win puts the Cavs at 1-0 to start the year.

FOR THE CAVS:

• Jose Rabadan Villanueva started the season off for the Cavs quickly after connecting on a goal in the first minute off the game from an assist by Louro. 
• Leandro Louro continued pacing the Cavs after firing 2 goals in the back of the net. 
• Louro also tallied 1 assist.
• Dominic O'Connor added the final goal of the night for the maroon and gold on a penalty kick in the seventy-eighth minute of the game.
• Charlie Walker tallied 3 saves and only gave up 1 goal

FOR THE ROCKS:

•  Ramses Minaya scored the lone goal for the Rocks.
