CEDARVILLE, OH- The Walsh University Women's Volleyball team traveled to Cedarville University to take on the Yellow Jackets in their first conference match-up of the season. The Cavs went home with another notch in the win column after battling through five sets to win 3-2. The Cavaliers would take set 1 28-26 in a back and forth battle on the net. The Yellow Jackets took sets 2 and 3 (16-25, 19-25). Locking in sets 4 and 5(25-19 and 15-9) the maroon and gold secured the first conference win on the year.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:

• Sydney Dixon led the way for the Cavs with a total of 20 kills.
• Olivia Maczuzak racked up 12 kills, 1 block and 16 digs
• Olivia Kearns totalled 4 aces over 5 sets, 51 assists and 17 digs.
• Grace Lindquist put up 14 kills and 1 block

FOR THE YELLOW JACKETS:

• Cassi Shields led in kills with 17 and Kaley Matney led in assists with 47.

The Maroon and Gold head to Columbus to take on the Panthers from Ohio Dominican on Saturday, September 10 at 1:00pm.
