NORTH CANTON, OH- The Walsh University women's soccer team lost their first conference match-up of the season to the reigning Great Midwest Athletic Conference champions from Ashland on the perfect fall night. The Cavs offensive efforts fell just short after the 2-3 loss on Larry Staudt Field.

FOR THE CAVALIERS:
- Midfielder, Gina Gildea put the Cavs on the board in the eleventh minute of the game after 2 unanswered goals from the Eagles.
- This was Gildea's first shot on goal of the year, giving her a perfect start on the season.
- Hannah Stein added her first assist of the season for the Cavs.
- Katie Corrigan connected to the back of the net during the seventy-second minute of the game to tie things up 2-2.
- Lilly Lakuszewski and Romina Parraquez tallied a total of 11 saves on the night.
FOR THE EAGLES:
- Bailey Clark racked up 2 goals for the Eagles
- Peyton Starner answered a Cavalier goal late in the game to give the Eagles the lead and take home the win
The Cavaliers head to Cedarville University on Saturday, September 10th for a 4:30pm conference battle.
