OWENSBORO, KY- The Maroon and Gold kicked off the new year with a road game vs Kentucky Wesleyan. Fresh off a win over Northwood, the Cavaliers looked to gain another one against the Panthers. With the help of efficient shooting in the first half, the Cavs found themselves with an eleven point lead. The Cavs shot 50% from the field and three in the first half, and 71.4% from the foul line. Kentucky Wesleyan outscored the Cavs in the second half, 43-40, but that was not enough as the Cavaliers secured another conference victory.

FOR THE CAVS
- Quentin Toles had a huge offensive night for the visiting team. He scored 29 points, going 9-14 from the field and 8-11 from three.
- Tim Smith Jr. contributed a double double with 17 points and ten rebounds.
- Garrison Keeslar had 19 points.
FOR THE PANTHERS
- Markel Aune led the team with 17 points. Ben Sisson and Jomel Boyd each added 11.
- Ben Sisson also grabbed seven rebounds.
