NORTH CANTON, OH: Two Great Midwest Athletic Conference matches were played on Larry Staudt Field this week, both ending in losses for the Cavaliers. Against Thomas More, the Cavs got down early, 2-0. Against the Timberwolves of Northwood University, the rain was coming down in buckets which made for tough competition. The first half ended with no score. Quickly after the break, Northwood connected with the back of the net. The Maroon and Gold responded, thanks to
Bobby Moore. That wasn't quite enough as Oliver Jarvis fired a penalty goal for the Timberwolves, giving them the 2-1 advantage.
Walsh will look to regroup as the face Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday at Larry Staudt Field.
