NORTH CANTON, OH: The Cavs had a tough match up on Saturday afternoon as they faced the Timberwolves from Northwood University. Coming in, Northwood was second in the conference, just behind the #1 team in the country, Ashland.
Cavs got off to a quick start, thanks to a
Kailey Hobart goal, 15 minutes into the game. Then the tough Walsh defense kept the Timberwolves at bay until just into the second half. After the game was tied 1-1,
Ally Stein connected on a penalty goal giving the Cavs an advantage. As the rain and wind picked up, Walsh ran out of gas as the Timberwolves won the tough match, 3-2.
The Maroon and Gold return to Larry Staudt Field on Tuesday as they face the Storm of Lake Erie College.
