GRAND RAPIDS, MI: Walsh Women's Basketball kicked off their season in Michigan yesterday as they faced regional opponent, Davenport. Down 9 at half, the comeback efforts fell a bit short as the Cavs fell by four. Walsh outscored the host, 23-13 in the final 10 minutes. 

Walsh will host D'Youville in their home opener on Saturday at 1pm.

FOR THE CAVS 

• Abby Hickey led the Cavs in scoring with 15 points
• Kiley Dyrlund led Walsh in rebounds with 8. She also had 12 points. 
• Lauren Galaska had five assists. 
• 10 Cavaliers scored in the game.
