NORTH CANTON, OH- The Walsh University Men's Lacrosse teams home opener was against the D'Youville University Saints. The Cavs came up with their first win of the 2023 season, winning 19-5 against the ECC competitor. The Cavaliers offense was unstoppable, scoring four goals in the first, seven in the second, four in the third, and four in the fourth. The Walsh defense was just as strong as the offense, giving up only five goals on the day. The Cavaliers are now 1-2 on the season.

FOR THE CAVALIERS

• Colby Bowman and Adam Tinline each had three goals and two assists in the game. Bryce Newmeyer, Ty Pilkington, and Tosh Pazuik each had two goals. John Kortowich and Nick Hauenstein each had one goal. Issac Stertz he had one goal and four assists on the day.  
• Walsh totaled 49 ground balls in the game. Mike Sawulak had 12 ground balls and Evan Stertz tallied five. 
• Mike Sawulak led the Cavalier defense with six caused turnovers.  
• Alex Movshin made 11 saves in 60 minutes in the goal. He only allowed five goals in the contest. 

Walsh will welcome the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday, March 8th, at 4:00pm on Larry Staudt Field.
