FINDLAY AND NORTH CANTON, OH: When you can pick up two conference wins, you are happy. When you pick up two against your rival, you are ecstatic. A sweeping of the Malone Pioneers on Senior Day (part 1) was the result for the Maroon and Gold as they returned back to the Walsh University Softball Complex after a tough double header vs the University of Findlay on Sunday. In the cold, damp and dreary weather in western Ohio, the Cavaliers had the bats but bigger bats from the Oilers are what out lasted the Maroon and Gold. Same weather, different team, and different location helped Walsh return to the win column, with two much needed wins to keep them in consideration for the Great Midwest Tournament. The top eight teams make the postseason. The Cavs are currently tied for eighth with one series left. Before wrapping up G-MAC play, the Cavaliers will host Notre Dame College, at home, on Wednesday, April 26th.
