NORTH CANTON, OH: The Walsh Women's Soccer team kicked off a jammed packed day on campus with a win over Mercyhurst University. It took both teams some time to get in the flow of the game but the Cavs adjusted a bit quicker on their home turf, thanks to a
Katie Corrigan goal, from
Ashley Story. The Lakers would get back into the game, scoring off a penalty kick, tieing it up at one. Soon before half, freshman,
Kailey Hobart scored off a pass from
Taylor Tomlinson to put the Cavs up, 2-1. Two goals were enough to secure the first win of the 2023 season for the Maroon and Gold.
The Cavs return to the pitch on Sunday at noon. They will face West Virginia Wesleyan in Buckhannon, WV.
