OWENSBORO, KY: Walsh Women's Basketball was back in action this afternoon in another Great Midwest Athletic Conference game vs the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers. Coming in to the contest, the Panthers were in 3rd place in the G-MAC.
The Maroon and Gold scored double digits in each quarter and were only down by 2 at the half. Kentucky Wesleyan capitalized on their 16 free throw opportunities in the 3rd quarter to outscore the Cavs, 21-13. In an aggressive match up, the Panthers shot 33 total free throws compared to Walsh's 13. Turnovers also helped the home team as they scored 24 points of of Walsh's mistakes.
The Cavs protected the three point line effectively as KWC made no 3s in the game.
The Women fall to 1-9 on the road this season and will look to earn a road win at the University of Findlay. The Cavs will have a week off to prepare for the Oilers. The game is set for next Saturday, 2/3, at 1pm.

- Kiley Dyrlund and Sami Kim scored in double figures. Dyrlund had 19 points on 8-9 shooting. Kim had 11 points.
- Lydia Reimbold was effective off the bench with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. She was also 4-4 from the foul line.
