COLUMBUS, OH: The Cavaliers rang in the new year with a 36 point victory against the Ohio Dominican Panthers last night, 86-50. Being the first road game since December 16th, the Maroon and Gold wasted no time in unfamiliar territory as the Cavs commanded a lead early and extended it through the night. Up 20 at the break, holding the Panthers to only 20 points, the Walsh defensive held the Panthers to only two made 3s and seven field goals in the first half.
After the half, the Walsh offensive continued their domination scoring 46 second half points, shooting 50% from the floor and 60% from three. For the game, the Cavaliers shot 47.6% from the floor and 48% from three.
Kobe Mitchell poured in another 20 points to lead all scorers.
Zack Oddo and
Garrison Keeslar each pulled in 9 rebounds.
The Men will continue this stretch of road games at Lake Erie College on Saturday, January 6th. The game is set to start at 1pm.
