NORTH CANTON, OH - The Walsh University Cavaliers volleyball team had a successful weekend at home, securing two important G-MAC victories against Ohio Dominican University and Cedarville University on November 8th and 9th, respectively.
In Friday's match against Ohio Dominican, Walsh emerged victorious with a 3-1 win (19-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20). After dropping the first set, the Cavaliers rallied back, showcasing their resilience and offensive firepower.
Sammie DiBease and
Hannah Shaw led the attack with 14 kills each, while
Jayme Zoeckler orchestrated the offense with 35 assists.
Arora Levengood anchored the defense with 17 digs.
The Cavaliers continued their momentum into Saturday's match against Cedarville, clinching another 3-1 victory (17-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-22). Despite losing the first set, Walsh again bounced back strongly.
Anna West and
Sammie DiBease each contributed 13 kills, with
Jayme Zoeckler again leading in assists with 40.
Arora Levengood had an outstanding defensive performance with 28 digs.
These wins improved Walsh's record to 17-10 overall and 10-4 in the G-MAC, solidifying their position in the conference standings. The team's ability to overcome early deficits in both matches demonstrates their resilience and depth.
