NORTH CANTON, OH: The University of Findlay Oilers were in town this Saturday in Alumni Arena! In the 2nd G-MAC game of the season, the Maroon and Gold found themselves in an even battle for 75% of the game. In three out of four quarters, the Cavs and Oilers tied total points for the quarter. The overall difference was clear as Findlay outscored Walsh 27-20 in the second quarter.
This game was not about the three point shot as both teams struggled from behind the arc, both teams shooting only 25%. Points in the paint and point off turnovers proved to be the main difference maker for the visiting team.
Three Cavs finished in double digits including
Mallory Oddo, leading the team once again with 16 points. She shot 70% from the field.
Izzy Callaway and
Rory O'Hara came off the bench scoring 14 and 11 points, respectively. In limited minutes due to foul trouble,
Emma Dretke had 7 rebounds.
Walsh returns to their home court on Thursday, December 12th for a 5:30pm game agaisnt Ursuline College.
