NORTH CANTON, OH: Cavalier Men's Lacrosse got their season underway today, on Larry Staudt Field. The season opening match up was against the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks from Rochester, New York. The Men, under new leadership, began the game with lots of energy finding the back of the net first, thanks to a
James Sternberg goal, four minutes into the game. Each team would score twice in the opening period.
The second 15 minutes proved to be the difference for the home team as the Cavs were outscored 7-2. The Redhawks offense also out shot the Cavs, 16-9 in the quarter.
Walsh will have a short turnaround as they travel to Indianapolis, IN to face the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday.
