MIDLAND, MI: The Cavaliers of Walsh Women's Basketball had their last far road trip of the season today, as they traveled north to Midland, Michigan to face the Timberwolves from Northwood University. In a short turnaround, facing the Timberwolves previously on 2/10, the Cavs fell, 79-60. A tough start for the Cavs didn't help vs the regionally mentioned Northwood team as they started on a 14-0 run, with Walsh not scoring their first points of the game until the 5:49 mark of the 1st quarter. By the middle of the second quarter, the Maroon and Gold would eventually cut it to 1 point but the home team never gave up their lead.
Walsh will have their last road game of the season on Thursday, February 29th, at Lake Erie College. Tip off is at 5:30pm.
