NORTH CANTON, OH: The fans in the stands quickly found out why the Mercyhurst University Lakers were national runners up last season. Scoring three goals right from the starting face off, the Maroon and Gold quickly responded with two goals at the half way point of the 1st. That was pretty much all the scoring for the Cavs as Mercyhurst put on an offensive and defensive clinic. It was all Lakers in their 11 goal victory as they out shot the Cavs 51-28. They also forced 29 Walsh turnovers.
The Men will have a small break as they don't play again until April 3rd. They will head to Malone University in the second ever rivalry match up.
