FINDLAY, OH: The Women's Lacrosse game may have been held at the University of Findlay today, but
Katie Coomes and the Walsh Cavaliers made it like home as the Maroon and Gold put on an offensive clinic on the road. In a much anticipated conference rivalry game, the Cavaliers led the entire game, striking first with the first two goals. The Oilers answered, to tie it up, 2-2, but the Walsh offense took full control. 7 different Cavaliers found the back of the net and
Katie Coomes single handedly scored 6 of the Cavs 16 goals.
The Cav defense also held tough as
Mallory Miller (9) and
Alexa Panetta (6) picked off 15 draw controls. G-MAC Athlete of the Week spent nearly 52 minutes in the goal, securing the win and 5 saves.
Walsh will next face the Thomas More Saints in Crestview Hills, Kentucky on April 4th.
